Phra Phrom(Thai: พระพรหม; from Sanskrit: Para Brahma) is the Thai representation of the deva Brahma, honored in Thai Hindu traditions. Phra Phrom is also worshiped in Chinese folk religion as the Four-Faced God (Chinese: 四面神; pinyin: Sìmiànshén) or Four-Faced Awakened One (Chinese: 四面佛; pinyin: Sìmiànfó).

Worship

Worshipers of the god usually offer incense, candles, jasmine flowers or jasmine garlands and young coconut milk (with water in them) in their worship, usually placing these offerings before all four heads of Phra Phrom, each head representing a different aspect of the deity; it is believed each side of Phra Phrom offers different blessings. Another common way of worship is to place wooden elephant statues on the altar to honor him. Phra Phrom is also known to admire Thai classical music, which is played near larger scale outdoor altars, accompanied by dancers. For a small fee, the dancers include worshiper's name into the songs they sing while dancing. Worshipers of Phra Phrom are also usually advised to abstain from consuming meat. It is also believed that worshipers have to make good on any promises made to the deity else misfortune will befall them instead of the fortune that was asked for. Items needed for prayers are available in the premises of the shrine.

The main example of this representation of Brahma is the statue at the Erawan Shrine in Bangkok, where the faith of the god has its origins in modern times. The golden dome of the Government House of Thailand also contains a statue of Phra Phrom.

Spread of the cult among Chinese
As early as the 1980s, the popularity of the Erawan cult of Brahma from its inceptions in Thailand spread, accompanied by faithful reproduction of the structure of the shrine and the image, among overseas Chinese in other countries of Southeast Asia (Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia), in Taiwan, and in China, with shrines established in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Chinese call Brahma colloquially the "Four-Faced Buddha" (四面佛 Simianfo).

Luangpu Moon/MUN Wat Ban Jan

Luangpu Moon Titasilo, Wat Ban Jan temple, Sisaket province. (B.E. 2437-2546) one of the greatest guru of present time who leaves to the age of 109 years from King Rama 5-9 era.

Born on 15 April B.E. 2437 at Ban Jan district, Sisaket province to farmer parents. He was a novice monk at the age of 14 and practiced Buddhism under the guidance of Phra Acharn Sida, the abbot of Wat Ban Jan before ordaining as a monk in B.E. 2460 at the age of 23.

In his life time of monkshood, Luangpu Moon traveled extensively around the region as well as neighboring countries for his forest-dwelling (Tudong) seeking great gurus who can teach him
more on Dharma and Magical practices.

He spented more than 50 years meeting many great gurus and inherited the skill of making sacred powder (Phong Itijie, Phong Puttakun, Phong Trini Singhe, Phong Patamung and Phong Maha Raj)
Especially from Phra Acharn Si Chantasiri, who was from the same linage of Somdej Phra Puttakjan Toh, Wat Rakang temple. This five sacred powders were important ingredients for making effective amulets. Luangpu Moon also learned making of alloy-based amulets from Somdej Phra Sangaraj Pae and Mitmor (Magical Knife) from Luangpu Kam and Luangpor Ngen, both teachers of Luangpor Derm Wat Nong Poh.

besides the above mentioned gurus, Luangpu Moon also excelled in a very high level of wicha Akom
(magical skill) from Luangpu Dam and Luangpu Maha Peng Wat Lam Duan both are highly respected deciples of The Great Somdej Ron of Nakorn Champasak Laos.

Amulets created by Luangpu Moon were very effective and highly sought-after by followers. Phra Luangta Maha Bua of Wat Pa Bantard temple once said to those who are seeking good and effective amulets to go to Luangpu Moon.

Luangpu Moon returned to Wat Ban Jan temple in B.E. 2520 and passed away in his hut on the 11 March B.E. 2546 @0730am at the age of 109 years and 86 years with the monkshood.
